‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ star Chris Pratt has recently address rumors with regard to him being a hot contender for the role of ‘Indiana Jones’ in a future reboot of the movie series, which was headed by Harrison Ford.
According to Comicbook.com, the actor spoke about the idea as he received the Hasty Pudding Man of the Year award and took part in a comedy roast at Harvard University.
Rumours of a Disney revival of the movie series following the adventurous archaeologist emerged after the studio bought film rights from Paramount.
Pratt, who will soon appear in ‘Jurassic World,’ declared that playing Indiana Jones would be an “awesome opportunity”.
Harrison Ford, who originated the role of Indiana Jones and payed it in all four movie outings has gone on record saying that he’d do another ‘Indiana Jones’ movie in a New York minute.
Last year when Paramount first purchased the film rights Bradley Cooper was briefly connected to the film.
At present though plans to even make a new Indiana Jones film are pretty much speculative in that there is not a great deal of information out there for it to be a sure thing, but our good friend and resident comics review Patrick Hayes has said that there seemed to have been an increase in Indiana Jones merchandise available at Disneyland in Los Angeles. Whether that could mean a new film in the near future is anyone’s guess.
