Bat-Cosplay focus on Cloud Zack Santiago & his Art of Cosplay

Central Florida's very own Super Hero Cosplayer shows off his high level Bat-Family cosplaying talents.

SciFiPulse likes to focus its attention on specific Cosplayers who often times help make a difference in their community along with those who are simply visually amazing at the Art of Cosplay.

Many convention goers and cosplayers who live in and/or attend conventions along the North East corridor of the US as well as in and throughout Florida may be familiar with Central Florida’s very own Zack Cloud Santiago who is simply an amazing and dedicated cosplayer in his spare time.

In this SciFiPulse piece we take a specific cosplay focus on three recent Bat-family related cosplays of Zack’s; Batman, Robin and Nightwing. Below is easily one of the most impressive, which is Zack’s 90’s animated inspired Batman. The images were taken by Vicforieux Photography and while the photos are quite exciting and easily capture Zack’s Bat-presence, this Batman is wonderfully recreated in what amounts to extraordinary Bat-cosplay!

Next we take a look at Zack’s cosplay take on Tim Drake’s animated appearance in the New Animated Adventures of Batman as a character that Zack seems naturally born to play, Robin.

In this cosplay it seems that Robin’s top, pants and belt were in fact made by Zack, with the gloves likewise being purchased and then modified by him as well. Robin’s boots are from funtasma, with Robin’s cape being originally made by John Frosbutter with the mask made by Evil Monkey Studios.

And last but certainly not least is Zack’s tremendous Nightwing cosplay, which for any Nightwing fan is a real treat as Zack’s portrayal of the more mature Dick Grayson as Nightwing is not just impressive but also does something to any fans suspension of disbelief when you see Zack run around in this George Perez inspired character from the Teen Titans.

The Nightwing suit was created by Leman Yuen, with the mask created by ReevzFX and the boots created by Zack himself. Below is a link to Zack’s Facebook page in which a cosplay fan can be treated to 43 cosplay photos of Zack as Nightwing.

Below are some of the very best photos in all three photo albums of Zack’s, which simply have the feel that only Zack Cloud Santiago and his love of cosplay could have imbued them with.

The various photos in these different shoots were taken by Bokch PhotosVicforieux Photography, BriLan Imagery & Odin’s Iris Photography respectfully, along with Zack posing with comics great George Perez and fellow cosplayer Caryn Elizabeth Rafi as fellow Teen Titan Starfire. Zack also posed in Titans cosplay images with fellow cosplayers Danny Kelley as Superboy & Ashley Gilbert as Miss Martian and Helene Ann as The Huntress.

All in all, SciFiPulse thinks that Zack Cloud Santiago is among the best, most dedicated and amazing looking cosplayers appearing at shows and conventions today. But most importantly, Zack and so many others; including those who accompanied Zack in those photos featured in this article, put themselves out there and make charitable appearances not just because they enjoy and are amazing at the art of cosplay itself, but because deep down inside they enjoy making a difference in peoples everyday lives.

It is specifically Zack Cloud Santiago as well as those cosplayers mentioned herein Danny Kelley, Caryn Elizabeth Rafi, Ashley Gilbert & Helene Ann, along with all the rest we see at our favorite conventions, comic shops, charity events and various appearances throughout the country, that are in some ways the closest things we have to real life costumed super heroes in that they do what they do selflessly. They put on that hot cape, cowl, mask and assorted tights to make the rest of us believe in our dreams. And when we smile from ear to ear and ask them for that photo, we forget about our problems even if only for a little while, because the child in each of us is living a little bit of those dreams we all share from years of reading our favorite comics and watching our favorite television shows.

So today, SciFiPulse specifically recognizes and says well done to Zack and hopes that he and all of his cosplaying brethren won’t ever stop being those heroes we all believe in and need with all of our hearts, even if we need to be reminded from time to time.
