Are There Four ‘Avatar’ Sequels In The Works?

Is The 'Avatar' Franchise Going To Span Five Movies?

New reports suggest that James Cameron could well be doing four ‘Avatar’ sequels as apposed to the three, which have already been announced.

According to the films composer James Horner the director has four scripts for the proposed follow up films.

As of now, only three more ‘Avatar’ movies have been announced, with the first set to be released in late 2017.

Horner told HeyUGuys: “He’s got four sequels script-wise, and he’s trying to make it into three. And I think that’s where the effort is going right now. How do you keep it from expanding into a fifth movie?”

Camerons plan is to release each new sequel over consecutive years.

Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana will return for the three new movies, with Sigourney Weaver also returning to play a new character.
