This show features scores of artists, writers and so many more individuals who have contributed to comic books, trade paperbacks, Anime and other similar genre materials including films and TV.

Just a few minutes into arriving at the Baltimore Arena did Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, and a host of other Super heroes and villains and more traverse the outside and huge inside of The Baltimore Comic Con. Hundreds, literally, were fans from all over appearing in costumes to attend this annual event. That is one of the highlights of this awesome convention.

Always something to do at this Baltimore Comic con. Just talking with other fans and the great writers and artists here is worth attending. The costume contest is amazing.

Joel Hodgson from ‘Mystery Science Theatre 3000’ was here. Plus the guest of honor was Peter Mayhew who was , of course the original man who played the Wookiee, Chewbacca from the original ‘Star Wars’ films.

Adults and young ones walk around to see all the booths as well as artwork and comics and more offered here for your purchase too.
In my opinion, at least 70% of fans are dressed up as their favorite heroes, villains, monsters, creatures, aliens and so much more in this realm.

Marc Nathan along with Randy Tishler are the backbone behind this amazing comic con. Marc created his store Cards Comic and Collectables back in 1984!

Yet, indulging fans do love to get in costumes to take photo ops and pose with other dressed up fans. It is indeed a way to keep our passion for this alive. No matter how tired you may be from walking and gazing around and being part of this event, there is always tons of photos being snapped at any given time inside and outside of amazing costumes!

About The Harvey Awards

Myself, along with most fans have brought along a few comic books and other collectables to have these artists and writers autograph them for us. Some fans bring a small suitcase on wheels just filled with goodies that await a signature! We all do love our autographed items.

This is one event that stays with us long after it is over.
I am not sure, but I do think I saw a streak of colors, red, yellow and blue go by overhead when I got back outside. Right before seeing that I do believe I actually heard a voice yell out………” Up up and awayyyyyyy”.

See you next year again at this SUPER celebration!

The Baltimore Convention Center is one of the biggest arenas in downtown Baltimore to host such a large event. Hundreds and hundreds of people are here to mingle within this gigantic indoor building. Plus our famous Inner Harbor is a few minute walk away.

Charity causes benefit immensely with the official art auction. Great way to purchase something unique and know it goes to some great causes!

Also, here is Baltimore Comic Cons write up featuring the Harvey Awards—

Mark J. Gross has been a fan of the sci-fi, fantasy and horror genre, since being stranded on this planet in 1955. Not telling anyone I was stuck here with a broken time machine, shhhh…. on paper I hail from Baltimore Maryland.
